About four years ago Goodyear opened up its brand new Global Headquarters in Akron. Woop woop! This month, we’re gonna get a chance to hangout inside for another edition of Lightning Talks and Chill!
Wait, What?
For those that might be unfamiliar, a lightning talk is a 10-15 minute presentation about something you’re interested in, working on, or care about. Does it have to be a tech talk? Nope! Our goal is to have a broad range of ideas that spark conversations.
Here’s what we’ve got scheduled so far (I’ll update this as we get more):
– Dave Komito: Drupal Pros/Cons vs. Other CMS
– Keith Kurak: Benefits of Jumping Into React Native
– Eric Browning: Intro to CSS Grid Layouts
We’re pretty excited to have Goodyear open their HQ doors for us and even provide some awesome food from their in-house cafeteria (it’s amazing, I’ve had it before!) so come hungry, and leave inspired!

Parking
Park in the lot that’s on your left, right before the big Goodyear bridge in the photo above. DON’T go across the big bridge, you won’t be able to get in. Walk across the street and enter the main lobby on the first floor, the security office will be to the left. You can’t miss it. Ella, our super awesome Goodyear host, will be there to greet people and walk groups up to our room! See you there!
