This one-time workshop is perfect if you have some experience with HTML & CSS but your skills need a refresh. This is not a class for absolute beginners – this is ideal for people who have completed our Intro to HTML/CSS course or have an equivalent understanding of the concepts. We’ll be condensing the major themes from our Intro to HTML/CSS class into a single session. By the end of the session, students should feel re-familiarized and comfortable with the following concepts:
Basic HTML & tags
• Creating & linking to a style sheet
• Selectors and attributes
• Styling elements (e.g. borders, colors, fonts, etc.)
• Classes & IDs
• CSS Positioning (e.g. absolute, relative, fixed)
• DIVs
This class will also be very useful for people who are interested in taking our Intro to Sass course but need a refresher before delving deeper into front end development concepts.
PREREQUISITES:
Intro to HTML or similar level of knowledge.
REQUIREMENTS:
At this time, you will need to provide your own laptop – PC or Mac – to participate in the course.

– Firebug, a Firefox extension with a plethora of tools handy in web development
POLICIES & GUIDELINES:
All attendees are expected to abide by the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct.
At least 4 students will need to enroll for this course for it to be hosted. If we have less than 4 students registered for the class as of three days prior to the class start date, we will cancel the class and reschedule for a later date. Any students registered at that time will be refunded their full registration fee.
If you need to cancel, we prefer not to issue refunds and would invest your registration fee back into our scholarship fund. We know sometimes there are extenuating circumstances so please email us if you find yourself in one, but please note that we will not issue refunds for cancellations that occur within 3 days of the class start date nor can we transfer your registration to another class.
