Stu Zweben is Professor Emeritus of Computer Science and Engineering at The Ohio State University. Prior to his retirement from OSU, he served as Associate Dean for Academic Affairs and Administration in Ohio State’s College of Engineering and as chair of OSU’s Computer Science and Engineering Department As department chair, he provided financial support for the very first OCWIC Celebration.
Within the OCWIC Chapter, Stu has been serving as Male Ally on the Chapter’s Council, and was Academic Sponsorship Chair or Co-chair for the last 2 Celebrations. Stu is a fellow and a former president of ACM, a fellow and former president of CSAB, and a fellow and former secretary of ABET.
For nearly two decades, Stu has directed the Computing Research Association’s (CRA) annual Taulbee Survey of Ph.D.-granting computing departments in North America whose data is used widely by the computing community and frequently by media. He also co-authors the annual ACM NDC (Non-doctoral-granting Departments in Computing) Study that complements the Taulbee Survey.
